The Real Meaning Behind Grace, Grasp, and Growth℠

Grace is not just a warm, fuzzy feeling. When you really let it in, whether you are exploring forgiveness, self-awareness or a whole new direction, it will rock your world and change your heart.

Close your eyes for a moment. Imagine you have just been given the most gracefully wrapped gift. As you carefully open the box, you find that you or your organization have been gently wrapped inside the box. If you had one wish to move yourself or your organization toward a direction of greater freedom or confidence, what does that look like? What is the first action you would like to take to make this a reality? Not sure or feeling “stuck?” A Coach will support you in getting “unstuck” and will help you move your wish to action then success!

Grasp your current reality and go shape your new vision. Looking into the future on one hand can cause excitement and on the other hand, you can naturally experience fear, uncertainty and doubt lowering your energy. The truth is, there may be gaps between the current reality and your desired state to address. It does not mean the end of the road! It just means your opportunities to grow just deepened.

Consider committing to a long-overdue project by taking one action today that gets you closer to your future state. If limiting beliefs creep in, write down visible affirmations on sticky notes where you can see them. It might help when you feel like you are wrestling down anacondas in your mind! You have what it takes to push through the FUD-fear, uncertainty and doubt!

Celebrate personal and organizational successes. Resist the temptation to "check-off" major growth milestones as if they are checklists. Reward yourself, the team or organization for the worthy achievement of recognizing gaps and addressing them. Verbal, written, electronic and combination (i.e, ZOOM recognition) goes such a long way!

Growth - John Maxwell wrote hundreds of books on leadership and growth. In, Leadershift: 11 Essential Changes Every Leader Must Embrace, John equates our personal growth as a garden which requires planning, cultivation and the right environment. We can also cultivate a growth environment by adapting a teachable spirit when we’re willing to seek out and learn lessons from others, from experience and from reflection.

Consider journaling and record daily: What possibilities did I see in myself and others today? Actively look for ways you can stretch your "senses" -- consider yourself a pupil of growth in every way, humbling yourself to be open to instruction, curiosity and learning.

Share what you learn with others. Your learning is exponential growth when the student becomes the teacher. Ask for feedback for triple the growing power that is already inside of you!

At GAERI, we focus on these three G’s all of the time and when you are ready, reach out and we can figure out a plan for you.
